suboxone treatment

Addiction is a disease of the brain. Emerging treatments, including substance abuse treatment and integrative mental health care, make it possible to eliminate addictive cravings, change negative thought patterns, and live a meaningful and purposeful life. Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations help determine the best approach, while counseling and therapy, combined with medication management, such as Suboxone—prescribed once opiate withdrawal symptoms ensue—can effectively reduce opioid cravings and withdrawal symptoms.

Say "no" to addiction

Suboxone is a schedule III controlled substance medication that contains two ingredients: buprenorphine and naloxone. At Avant Interventional Psychiatry, our outpatient MAT Program consists of frequent follow-up combined with  psychotherapy in an effort to assist our patients to overcome their addiction in the most therapeutic way.

Research indicates that the combination of medication and behavioral therapy is what treats addiction effectively.  Suboxone staves off physical withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Counseling helps patients to address the emotional and behavioral issues associated with addiction. Evidence-based research shows that neither one is as effective on their own as they are together.
