TMS Therapy can help
Tired of feeling down, having no energy or motivation, suffering from chronic irritability and fatigue, experiencing lack of interest in people and activities, and having difficulties with sleep?
TMS CAN HELP
TMS is a revolutionary treatment that treats depression directly by activating brain cells responsible for depression sparing the rest of the brain and body from side effects.
TMS HELPS DEPRESSION
Unlike other treatment modalities for depression, such as electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and Ketamine, TMS is safe and non-invasive. TMS is done in a doctor's office in a relaxing environment.
TMS Works
"TMS therapy is a life-changing, life-giving treatment for many patients."
TMS is a non-systemic (does not circulate in the bloodstream throughout the body and does not cause systemic side effects) and non-invasive (does not involve surgery or the insertion of any needles) form of neuromodulation. TMS stimulates nerve cells in a targeted area of the brain (left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) that is linked to depression by delivering highly focused MRI-strength magnetic pulses.
Patients being treated by TMS therapy do not require anesthesia or sedation and remain awake and alert in a comfortable reclining chair that looks much like dental chair. A single treatment last approximately 20 minutes. TMS is an outpatient therapy that is prescribed by a psychiatrist and performed in a psychiatrist’s office. The treatment is typically administered daily, 5-days each week, for 20-36 treatment sessions.
